From: the Halifax, Nova Scotia newspaper: Soccer coach limits sex to twice a week LIMA (Reuter) - Ahead of a vital World Cup qualifying match, Peru's soccer players have been ordered to have sex no more than twice a week. "We've told the boys they must be a little less `productive' with their partners," said Jorge Machuca, fitness coach for the team's June 2 game against Colombia. The coach said he had been forced to impose the extra discipline because his players were susceptible to tiring themselves out with sex. "Their training causes an accelerated blood flow, which gets them, as it were, `on-heat,' " he said. After Peru's lifeless display last month in a 4-1 defeat to Ecuador, Machuca recognized too much sex could wreck a players' on-field performance. "A player's thighs are particularly likely to be weak because, in a sexual relationship, these muscles do a lot of work," he explained.
